The Unitronics UMI-5000EU-B7 is a UMI-B7 series variable frequency drive rated 500 kW (670 HP) and 860 A for a 380-480 V three-phase supply. It runs both induction and permanent magnet motors, with closed-loop position, speed and torque control, and Safe Torque Off built in. It suits pumps, fans, conveyors and other large machine and process loads.
What It Does Well
- Sensorless vector, closed-loop vector and SVPWM control
- Overload: 150% for 60 s, 180% for 10 s, 200% for 1 s
- Integrated STO (SIL2), functional safety certified
- Built-in Modbus RTU over RS-485; up to 3 option cards for CANopen, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP
- Removable LCD keypad with a 16-line text and graphics screen and wizard mode for setup
